A Promise

Looking at Hollywood and other people, why do people even get married? When they make the vow to love each other in front of God, why do they separate days, months, or even years later? Is there even a reason why people marry? Is it for money or for love? Sometimes I think love is pointless in a relationship because people separate. People, you make a vow in front of God! Does that mean nothing to you?? God created marriage between man and wife...this doesn't include man and man or woman and woman. God didn't created same sex marriage. Love was meant for a man and wife. God is love and created it, but sometimes people take advantage of it. Do many people marry for love? Well i'm sure they do but many marriages today end and people marry someone else. It's sad how people forget what they said on the altar on their wedding day.

Feed the Children

Hey everyone! I saw a commercial for Feed the Children, which made my heart break for them. It's so sad how sometimes we think we don't have anything, but when you use other people's perspectives, we are far more wealthy than they. Seeing those children make me think of how greedy we are. People need to step out of their comfort zones and start helping. I think we could all make a difference by helping those kids. Not only can lives be changed but they can see God's great love for them. We are all missionaries...we don't have to travel to be a missionary, look at your neighbors, friends, everyone and i'm sure we can all find someone who needs to know about God's love. So I think we should give towards the Feed the Children organization. May God bless you all and keep you safe this winter season.

Merry Christmas!!

Merry CHRISTmas everyone! I can't believe the day is done. It didn't even feel like Christmas. Well, I spent time with the greatest family ever, actually two families- church family and related family. It was alot of fun. This year the gifts were cut back but then again, it's not about the gifts, but about the greatest gift, Jesus. Happy birthday Jesus!

Annoyed

Do you know that feeling where you wish the person you like knew that you like him? Well, that's how I feel. It's such a sad feeling. I never even used to like him but now all of a sudden? Why now?

A Problem Probably for Many Girls in This World

So I know this blog is supposed to be about our nation and world, but sometimes you just have to open up. Well, my pastor's eldest son, Ryan, is 19 and is in college. He's one of the sweetest guys a girl will ever meet and well, I have a crush on him. When I started high school which was two years ago (wow, time goes by), I vowed to myself that I wouldn't have a crush on anyone, I'd just focus on my schoolwork but looks like that didn't stay up. I used to have a small crush on Ryan when I was younger but it easily went away. Somehow, the crush is back but it feels different. It's like it crept up on me. I know many girls my age go through this situation or something similar to this. Just continue to pray for and with me, that if this guy is really the right one, God will help me to make the right decision and help me to realize he IS the one. If any girl out there has any advice, it would be really nice to hear from you. Anytime you, the reader, has problems, I can help you or at least try to help you. So don't be afraid to ask!

Looking Towards the Future

So today in my Sociology class, a student came in from Devry University and talked to us about our futures and college. It was pretty interesting to see the percentage of graduating seniors in high school who actually go to college and then the percentage of people who don't. Only 56% of seniors who graduate high school go to college (this is the percentage of high school graduates in Ohio). This percentage is still really sad. What's also sad is that the reason why other countries are catching up to the US is because we, as a country, don't really care about education...more like we don't enforce people to continue their education so they can get better jobs. America needs to get back on track with education because if we don't, all of our jobs will go to other people. Pray for the want of a further education in the US and remember, there's always the military but if you really put forth the effort, everything will turn out fine. Pray, trust God, and try hard. Also keep in mind that other kids around the world would give anything to get the education that we have (this should make us want to try harder in school).

Christmas Time is Here

Its almost Christmas and i'm so excited! One more week of school left :) Remember to pray for peace not only in the world and in this country, but pray that God's peace comes into people's lives. Pray that people see the true meaning of CHRISTmas.

                                                                                                               God bless you all,

Dreams and Wishes

Have you ever thought about someone? I keep having strange dreams about this guy I like, but I really do believe God has someone picked out for me. I wish I knew what my dreams meant but only God knows. So every girl out there, you may like someone but remember that God has someone special for you.

In Detroit

A few weeks ago I went to 'The Call' in Detroit and prayed with hundreds of people for our nation and others. As a nation, we need to step up and do what we are called to do, yet so do Christians ourselves. We've been hiding our identities for so long, that now, God is calling us to step out of our comfort zones. Keep praying for the U.S. because we, as a nation, aren't close to God and he's always with us. We just need to call out to Him. Pray for other nations too because they also need peace and God to work within. All i'm asking is that people just pray fervently, that God may bring us all back to Him.
